The Sidney Central School Alumni Association received a special honor at the All Class reunion Luncheon held on Sunday, July 22 at the Sidney Firemen's Hall. The Community Pride Award was presented to the association by Vision 21, in recognition of their efforts to bring alumni back to the community.

The award was presented by Dennis Porter, a member of the Community Pride Committee of Vision 21's Quality of Life. Accepting the award on behalf of the Alumni Association was Terry Dermody. The Community Pride Award is presented in,recognition of programs, groups or individuals who promote the area in a positive way.

The efforts of the Sidney Central School Alumni Association have fostered an appreciation for the area and encouraged alumni to maintain a bond not only with their alma mater and each other, but with the community and its residents.
